Decolonizing Indigenous Identity

This theme explores how to confront, resist, and reframe the colonial narratives that have historically defined Indigenous identity. Through visual storytelling, symbolism, and political intervention, the selected works challenge imposed representations and assert self-determined perspectives.

Each artist, with their own distinct style and medium, such as mural painting, sculpture, photography, and collage, expresses a commitment to reclaiming cultural agency, land, and authorship.
